      Away vs Marist Albion

      1st May 2010 - 2:45pm

It was always going to be a tough day at the office for the Brighton team away at Marist. Middleton Park has not been a happy hunting ground in recent times and after a very slow start Brighton soon found themself 7-0 down. Some slack defence enabled Marist to break and after a few well constructed phases they forced their way over. Home vs Belfast

      21st June 2010 - 2:45pm

It was a fairly simple equation going into saturdays game against bottom of the table Belfast at Rawhiti, win with a bonus point and Brighton would claim the first round for the first time in decades. Having gone 10 games unbeaten and with only Belfast standing in the way it seemed like a relatively simple task on paper, but it was a big occassion for the boys and perenial cellar dwellers Belfast have improved no end in recent weeks.

All of the celebrations of the the previous week had to be put aside as the second round began with a tough fixture at home against Varsity.
