Golf Day
The Club is organising a Golf Tournament as it’s major fundraising event after the success of the event last season. We have been encouraged by the level of interest in this Tournament, and are hopeful of making a good return on the day which will be put towards coaching and playing development. Details of the Tournament are: Date: Friday 25 September 2009 Time: Noon (Shotgun start) Venue: Rawhiti Golf Club Format: Handicap and non-handicap sections, 19th hole in Rugby Clubrooms!
Fundraising: Hole Sponsorship: $300 per hole (entitles the sponsor to free entry for 2 players) Entry fee: $25 per person (includes green fees, prizes and meal). Given this is the only major fundraiser outside of the Go for Gold Club, we are asking teams/sections within the Club to provide: (1) A minimum of two businesses who would be willing to sponsor a hole at a cost of $300. (2) At least 6 prizes valued at a minimum of $30 each. Team Managers will be asked to co-ordinate efforts to get the two business and 6 prizes from their team/section and confirm details by 18 September 2009 at the latest. Entry is not limited to Club members, so please invite any friends to join you for the tournament. If you would like extra entry forms, feel free to photocopy the attached form, or contact Wayne Turner (385-3320) who will arrange to have some sent to you. Please note that entries close on Friday 19 September 2009.
