New RDO Appointment—Welcome Andy!
The Management Committee are pleased to confirm the appointment of Andy Gibson to the role of our Club RDO.
Andy is very familiar with the Club with his grandfather Dave Gibson having played 103 senior games between 1940-49, and his father Ross having played 1129 game between 1974-85.
Andy graduated Canterbury University with a Degree in Sport Coaching and with then created his own business, Release Sports, which has a variety of services from sports delivery to administration. While running Release Sports he has been actively coaching in various roles from Head Coach at Linwood Rugby Club, Backs Coach for the Canterbury U19's and currently Head Coaching the Shirley Boys' High School 1st XV.
Andy was a stand-out candidate amongst a good number of applicants and we are pleased to have him. We believe Andy has the skills to take our Club forward in a positive direction in season’s to come.
